Fake News
You should never use social media as a tool for revenge or spreading falsehood all in the name of getting junky likes, comments or followers. When you spread fake or untrue information about someone or something, it is distributed worldwide. A certain percentage of people tend to believe your information and also walk around spreading them. Also, you might be doing it on a purpose, but that purpose can cause damage or affect someone else’s career, life, job, knowledge and many more. Therefore, it is vital not to share fake information no matter how desperate you seem. It can ruin someone.
Explicit Contents(Pictures, Videos, Texts etc)
The content shared on social media does not guarantee 100% deletion after you’ve gotten rid of it. Someone somewhere might be monitoring your daily routines trying to find fault or something against you. When you post something and you feel you don’t need it or feel you shouldn’t have posted, someone might’ve saved or screenshot it to his/her device and in future, that can be used against you or even blackmail you with it. While we post for fun, we should be mindful of the things we share on social media. Again, you might get apprehended into lawsuits if it contained anything that’s not permitted by the local law.

Screenshot Of Personal Conversation
Personal means private. If a conversation is meant to be private, we shouldn’t at any cost post it on social media no matter what. Nobody likes people who are not secretive. However, no one will value you, or would rather not share anything personal with you as they will have the feeling that you might share that conversation too. You might lose the credibility and trust of the people may be what you did wasn’t backed with any negative mindset.
Home Address/Telephone Numbers
Do not under any circumstance share your home address or Telephone number openly on any social media unless it’s a private/business line used for your business or company. Even that should be taken with care.
However, if a website requires this, you can always change the setting from Public/Friends to Only Me for security.
Financial Status/Bank Details
Whether you are a millionaire or in the middle class, it is advisable not to share your financial status with your online friends. No one is interested in your Platinum Credit Card, the amount of money in your bank or your new car that costs ¢100K. Yes, they do matter, but people could use that as an opportunity to run after your money. If you choose to publicize your financial status, you are giving some people the chance to invade your private life just to loot and attack you anytime they want because they will get money. Exposing your bank details can set the path for fraudsters to hack into your account and take whatever they want.
