The Royal Mail Ship (RMS) Titanic also known as The Titanic was a British passenger ship that sank in the year 1912 on April 14-15th on its route to New York from Southampton, England. It’s sinking caused the death of about 1,500 ship personnels and passagers on the ship.
The tragedy about the sinking of the grande ship has been in the history books since. It has attracted the attention of almost everyone.

The Orphans Of The Titanic
During the sinking of the Royal Mail Ship(RMS)parents sacrificed their lives so children could be rescued. This is the story of Michel Jr and Edmond Navratil. As the ship was sinking their father put them into the final lifeboat as it was being launched, and after the sinking they were left in the care of a French speaking woman until they could be taken back home to France to live with family.
This in itself isn’t a unique story, but how they came about being on the ship is quite interesting. Before the sailing of the RMS Titanic 3 tickets to second class were bought by a Louis M. Hoffman. He had 2 children with him, Lola and Momon, and at no point would let them out of his site during the voyage. It would later be known that was not his real name.
Not long before Michel Navratil had separated from his wife. She had full custody of their kids but like a good mother she let her children spend Easter with their father. And like some desparate parents do he kidnapped his own children in the hopes that in some twisted way his wife would follow him and it would save their marriage when they got to a new country.

This is what caused the missing children to go undetected for a time, until their mother recognized them in the newspapers. They were quickly reunited. Although Edmond passed away in 1953, Michel went on to live a long, long life. Michel Navratil was the last surviving male that sailed about the RMS Titanic and passed away in 2001 at the age of 92!!
