On one sad afternoon, on 23rd August 1926, the death of Rudolph Valentino, sent a shock shrill across the globe. He was born on 6th May, 1895 in Castellaneta, Italy. At his funeral, more than one hundred thousand (100,000) mourning fans lined the streets of Manhattan, New York to pay their tribute.

Several women committed suicide at the hearing of his death. Riots could only increase in numbers. Windows were smashed by depressed fans. One actress named, Pola Negri, claiming to be Valentino’s fiancée, collapsed while standing beside his coffin.
Strangely enough, three years after Valentino’s death, women still miss him and write endless letters to him confessing their love and affection. Rudolph Valentino was an Italian actor, based in the United States until his untimely death at age thirty one (31)!!
