Arise Ghana Youth For Your Country

Written By Poet Nazir

Arise Ghana youth for your country

Your nation is now dressed in a tattered devotion

Trying so hard to call upon citizens to recollect the wasted sweat of your forefathers

Whose blood spilled and yielded sons who love possession

Than their country filled with repercussion

Lavishing amidst the outcry.

Arise Ghana youth for your country

They are called the men in suit

All knowing, magnificent creatures born misleaders

Thrown a seat carved with gold; blessings from the gods

Tagged torned and in odds

Love is fire ablaze in their hearts in persuit.

Arise Ghana youth for country

How do we live as a nation cursed with blessings?

When all we care about is worship

But forget to reason with the only chip

Where have we gone wrong?

This sufferances will dwell here for how long?

Arise Ghana youth for your country

The nation you loved

Is a body that borrows to feed your growth

A comic stage of desperate actors

Enriched abilities

Bewitched mentalities.

Arise Ghana youth for your country

Citizens proud and sound swelling of itchy boils

Our misleaders and our toils

Fusing hope and pressing our wound

Milking our wallets

Fusing hopes and pressing our wound.
