Written Poem: The Hindrance – Poet Nazir

The Hindrance

Then;

I see the sun rise from the East

With the thoughts flooding my life

I recount on my headaches

Moments that brings not easiness

Sometimes I cry

I wish everyday from today would be like before

But those days are only to be remembered

Now, I feel myself centred

Cuffed and ensnared.

I feel the shame of what I’ve been through

It tells me to never utter a word

Nor have fun like I expect to see

The world is but a despiser of my progress

When I choose to forget, I see the sun set.

Shall I rejoice

Or wait till after my triumph

It’s always sad to say

That I remember the bad things

Worst moments and an abducted wellbeing.

One thing;

Save slaves from wicked masters

When I shall dwell being a slave of my ownself

Tomorrow erranded to put me to shape

Then, I shall worry not, today too shall pass.
